Shot from within The Wave looking out into Coyote Buttes. The Wave is a wonderful place within the Paria Wilderness. It is managed by the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) and is accessible by permit only. Unfortunately, getting that permit is not the easiest thing to do, but luckily I did. The Wave is a pretty recognizable feature--it has even been a desktop wallpaper for a couple of computer systems, including Microsoft Windows and the Apple Mac.

But this shot, I like, simply because it encapsulates The Wave, yet is a different point of view. It is looking out from The Wave over the Paria Wilderness. The colors and patterns in the rock were deeply attractive to me, and this, then, is the result.
