This photo represents almost all of The Wave, or at least the main feature area. The Wave is a wind-carved rock formation located in the Paria Wilderness of the desert southwest. This iconic location is not readily accessible. There are no roads or trails, and one must hike through the desert, gear in hand, to get there. The journey is more than worth it, however, and once you get there you'll have trouble breathing for all the beauty.
